We offer an afterschool club for children attending the Oaks International School from Reception onward.
We offer a holiday club for children attending Oaks International School from Queen Edith’s Primary School.
All children are collected from their classrooms by our staff members. Our staff will go through the daily register to ensure all children have been collected, before returning where the afterschool club is based.
Cambridge Kids Club @ Oaks
We operate the out of school club from Oaks International School and use two areas; the Main Hall and a classroom. We have a quiet area were children can do their homework or simply relax should they wish too. Within the school there's a lovely outside play area and we also have easy access to Cherry Hinton Park. Like all our other clubs we operate based on Free Play and children have the choice on what activities they wish to do.
Meet our Play Leader: Leandros
Club Address: Cherry Hinton Hall Lodge, Cherry Hinton Rd, Cambridge CB1 8DW
Location in school
You can find us at the back of the school building, close by the ponds. Please ring the doorbell and a staff member will come to welcome you.
Parking is available on the Cherry Hinton park site.
What the club offers:
We are a self-directed PLAY based provision.
“Play is a process that is freely chosen, personally directed and intrinsically motivated. That is, children and young people determine and control the content and intent of their play, by following their own instincts, ideas and interests, in their own way for their own reasons.”
This is very different from the classroom environment, which can be (and sometimes needs to be) a very structured environment. We believe that after a long day at school or term of learning, children want to come to us to have fun and freedom in an unstructured self motivated way. Children will learn skills that they need in the growing up process, but in a different way to school.
The After School Club @ Oaks
After School Club operates from the end of the School day to either 4:30pm or 6pm. Children will be collected from their classrooms and escorted to the club by our staff members.
After School Snack: We provide all children with a light snack around 4pm. Examples of what we offer include wraps, toasts, yoghurts, fruit, and juice.
Children who attend an extra circular club at the school will be collected by one of our staff members, and a snack will be offered to them when they arrive at the after school club.
The Holiday Club @ Queen Edith's
The holiday club operates from 8am – 6pm with a full and varied programme of activities and trips. Each week has a theme to it and the activities and outings are based around that theme. This will be emailed out to you around 6 weeks before the start of the holiday for you to book the specific days. For children staying all day, a mid-morning snack and a light afternoon snack is provided. We ask you to provide a pack lunch.

Each month we circulate a newsletter providing parents with up-to-date information on what is going on within the Cambridge Kids Club and matters of general interest.

Parents are encouraged to offer their time to take a session at the Club should they have any expertise or special interest which the children might enjoy hearing about.
