Cambridge Kids Club @ Cambourne
We operate the holiday play-scheme from The Blue School on Eastgate Road in Great Cambourne and the outdoor play is on the school ground (rain or sun). Like all our other clubs we operate the club based on 'Free Play' and children have choice on what activities they wish to do. We have a quiet area were children can do homework should they wish too.

What the club offers:

We are a self-directed PLAY based provision.
“Play is a process that is freely chosen, personally directed and intrinsically motivated. That is, children and young people determine and control the content and intent of their play, by following their own instincts, ideas and interests, in their own way for their own reasons.”
This is very different from the classroom environment, which can be (and sometimes needs to be) a very structured environment. We believe that after a long day at school or term of learning, children want to come to us to have fun and freedom in an unstructured self motivated way. Children will learn skills that they need in the growing up process, but in a different way to school.
The Holiday Club
We offer a holiday club from The Blue School building. This Holiday Club operates from 8am – 6pm with a full and varied programme of activities and trips. Each week has a theme to it and the activities and outings are based around that theme. This will be emailed out to you around 6 weeks before the start of the holiday for you to book the specific days. For children staying all day, a mid-morning snack and a light afternoon snack is provided. We ask you to provide a pack lunch.

Parent Partnership
Parents are at liberty to spend time with their children at any time during the sessions provided that it does not unsettle the child. The Club Leader, The After-School Co-ordinator and the director are always ready to discuss your child's progress and deal with any concerns you may have.
Each month we circulate a newsletter providing parents with up-to-date information on what is going on within the Cambridge Kids Club and matters of general interest.
The Club has formulated a set of policies relating to its approach towards issues such as anti-discrimination, child abuse, staff selection etc. Please feel free to ask for a set of these policies that will, in any case, be provided upon enrolling your child.
Parents are encouraged to offer their time to take a session at the Club should they have any expertise or special interest which the children might enjoy hearing about.
